Technics SH-9020 Vintage Peak and Average Meter Unit
Technics SH-9020 Analog Peak and Average Measurement Unit from the legendary late-1970s "Professional Series." This unit comes directly from a private collection and has been meticulously cared for in a smoke-free, climate-controlled environment. If you are looking to complete your Technics 9000-series stack (SU-9070/SE-9060) or want to add massive, ultra-responsive analog meters to your current hi-fi setup, this is one of the finest examples available on the market today.
Condition Rating: 8.7 / 10 (Excellent Vintage Condition)
As an avid collector of vintage audio gear, I have seen many of these units over the years. This is easily one of the better examples I have ever encountered.
- Faceplate: Excellent condition. Clean, crisp lettering with no major gouges or distracting blemishes.
- Meters & Illumination: 100% perfect. The classic backlighting glows beautifully, and the massive ballistic needles bounce smoothly and accurately with zero sticking.
- Chassis / Top Escutcheon: In remarkably clean shape. There are a couple of tiny, micro-marks on the top escutcheon from careful stacking, but they are only visible at very close range under direct lighting. Once racked or placed in a console, it looks absolutely gorgeous.
Functional Performance
- 100% Tested and Working Perfectly. All switches, buttons, and sensitivity selectors track smoothly and cleanly without any static or audio artifacts.
- All three inputs (Line 1, Line 2, and Speaker Power) calibrate and monitor flawlessly.
- The legendary 100 μs ultra-fast peak response and Infinite Peak Hold function exactly as they did when leaving the factory.
