Audio Addicts UK Parmeko 600-Ohm Transformer Colour Box

Built with 2 x vintage Parmeko 600 ohm input transformers which were designed for recording studio use. Sound is excellent and a very linear frequency response. Being a slightly smaller type core you can get some very nice saturation when pushing hard and a nice clean signal below 0dB

• Neutrik XLR input and output connections - Balanced
• Ground lift switch on the XLR outputs
• 2 x matched vintage Parmeko 600 ohm transformers
• Output attenuation controls - 6 way control in 5db steps which allows you to drive the inputs and back off the hot outputs
• Balanced 600 ohm to 600 ohm
• Hard bypass switches

Fully bench tested for phase in & out, insertion loss, frequency response and attenuation. Great.

The idea here is to "change" and colour signals. Each unit will have unique specs and workings so a great way of getting unique changes to recordings. These are designed to handle quite high levels before maxing out and are also perfect as hum eliminator and balanced to unbalanced, unbalanced to balanced convertors
