The faceplate and knobs are clean, the LCD is crisp, and the rotary encoder responds smoothly. All functions have been tested. Serial #119604225. [OS: V1 or V2 2.00, confirm at power-up.]

The Orbit was E-mu's first genre-focused module, a single-space unit with a metal faceplate and a big, easy-to-read LCD. It has 8 MB of samples, 32 voices, 16-part multitimbrality, and 512 presets (256 in ROM, 256 in RAM for your own edits). Outputs are three stereo pairs, plus MIDI in, out, and thru.

 The sounds:

The sample set covers vintage drum machine and synth material, including TR-909, TB-303, Juno, CZ-101, and Casio sources. You get deep pulsating basses, lush ambient pads, punchy electronic drums and percussion, and dance-oriented leads and stabs. It's the late-90s house, techno, trance, and jungle palette.

 The filters:

This is what sets it apart. It has a sharp 36 dB/octave six-pole low-pass, plus high-pass, band-pass, parametric EQ, phaser and flanger comb filters, formant filters, and the "Bottom Feeder" distortion filter for drums and low end. Many presets put the filter sweep on the mod wheel, so pads and acid basslines come alive in real time.

 Beats mode:

MIDI-clocked drum rhythms and built-in sequencing let you drop in loops locked to your sequencer and build a track around them.

Ships well packed and insured.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0818/6544/1507/files/bc409117-6cbb-4580-934f-383d8b02730e.jpg?v=1792769491
https://bluewater-pro.com/products/e-mu-systems-orbit-9090-v1-the-dance-planet-rackmount-32-voice-synthesizer-1996-yellow
